Hawaii Update

Aloha.

So, we have been really busy out here on the Garden Isle of the Pacific, Kauai.

You might be asking... what that the Baumgartners been up to? Well... Here we go.

Lindsey and I have both been blessed with the chance to be Interns at Calvary Chapel Kauai. Lindsey is the Missions Intern and is working with a team that just got back from the Philippines, as well as, leading and teaching a class on Missions. She has been so busy working on that stuff and I am excited to it see happen. We had the first night this past Thursday and will have 5 more weeks as we look forward. She is talking about Theology of Mission, Cultural/Practical tips, and a bunch of other Missiological terms that I don't know how to say or spell. The Group is called: :: i'mPASSIONED :: (i think this is the first thing on island to have creative branding.)

I am a Worship Intern and have been learning a lot. So far I have played Electric, Bass, Acoustic, sang in the vocal ensemble, ran sound, worked on video projection, and led worship. I am doing pretty much everything... a little bit of everything. I am looking forward to learning some other fun stuff and leading for the next month or so.

Here are some photos.

Here is pastor Bob praying for us as Interns and for my Dad's shoulder surgery. That is one thing that CCK is marked by... Prayer.

This is me leading worship... it is far off... but that is me. - try squinting -

This is lindsey giving the announcement for :: i'mPASSIONED :: She really is a good speaker and should consider a stand up comedy career.

Me playing the Bass. And Lindsey sing in the vocal ensemble.

Me playing Electric and singing with my pops.

If you have any questions about our lives here please ask us... or call us! We miss everyone and cherish every conversation.

Aloha.

Becky's Wedding

So,
The original reason that we were coming to Hawaii was for Becky's wedding!!!! The day was awesome! She was a beautiful bride and Noah was pretty good too... :)

Me and Linds were both in the wedding party. It was so fun. And because Becky has so many close friends she had a lot of bridesmaids... the best part of that was that I got to stand next to Lindsey (my Bride) during the ceremony. We had a blast and as you can imagine... filled the dance floor almost the whole night.

Becky and Noah spend the day after taking pics and there were sooo many great shots. Here is one of the ones that I have seen, but if you want more go to... http://www.chrispluslynn.blogspot.com/

Congrats Becky and Noah.
